May Snakes n' Eggs May 20, 2012 - May 20, 2012
And Then There Were Four
Snakes and Eggs, 20 May 2012 Georgetown, KY
Four what? This is not golf. Why, four new faces at the table. Linda Russell and Mike Vaughn, John Wright and John McCray. Chris and Linda brought a GT 500 Mustang from Crestwood, Ky. John and John brought an immaculate 1967, 427/425hp Corvette roadster. It appeared that just ten minutes after arrival that they had been a part of the group forever. Regardless, as this was their first event---a heartfelt welcome!
Others included Jerry and Diane Joyner, Linda and John Masick, Allen Mulcahy, Cindy and Juan Lopez-Bonilla, John and Kyle Kremer, Bea Bland and Vince Lubbers. Dave and Becky Fister were there in spirit and relayed in greetings to the group from the Spring Fling.
This was an especially laid back Snakes and Eggs. There were stories of the Spring Fling which occurred this weekend at Brown County State Park in Indiana. The Joyners actually checked out early and came to Georgetown directly and we got the up-to-the-minute news. Our next event is the delightful British Bash event in Louisville on 2 June. Do a search for British Bash 2012, print your registration and pay at the event. Also, since Gravel Switch might be scratched from the schedule, the planning committee is working on an alternative at a rural restaurant named The Depot. Jerry and Vince plan to check out the brews and report back. So watch your email for updates.
There was talk of the London Cobra Show in London, Ohio. If you have not signed up, visit their site, and secure your hotel reservation. Life is too short to always be saying “I should’ve.” Don’t do that, plan to go. As always, we will spread the circle a little wider and you can drag your chair in among friends.
